Sourced from a private cylinder recording originally thought be of Patsy Touhey. A cognate of ‘The First Month of Spring’, itself a D major version of the A major tune ‘The First Month of Summer’ or vice versa (MI 1214, DMI 491).
The transcribers use enclosing square brackets at the beginning of the tune here to denote an ‘introductory flourish’.
