Associated with John’s grandfather and namesake (1887-1956). According to John Senior’s son Kevin ‘no one else played it’ and it was his tune of choice when asked to play. John Senior worked on a merchant ship in WW1 travellng all around South America. Unfortunately the letters he sent home relating vivid accounts of flying fish were to be dismissed as the final, sure sign that he had gone mad altogether. He always carried a fishing line as well as a whistle.
