The transcription here is of Sonny Harne’s from the flute playing of Andy Snee of Seamair, Cill Cheallaigh in Fíf agus Fideog1, where we are told that he learnt the tune from the lilting of his father who “reckoned that it was a big favourite of Sonny (Michael) Harne of Kilgarrif, a hearty flute player and dancer”.
The audio recording features a slightly different version entitled The Boys from Mayo.2
